I started my Girlguiding journey by becoming a volunteer with my daughter’s rainbow and brownie units. The brownie unit was going to close in my daughter’s last year, so I took on the challenge of running the unit until new leaders could be found to take over. Over 15 years later I’m still running that unit and now help lead 2 brownie units, and a guide unit.

We have built a great team of volunteers within Chigwell over that period which helps to make it an enjoyable and rewarding role.
