Jenny Aspinall

My first introduction into Guiding was through my eldest daughter, we attended the local guide unit to be told it would be closing if they cannot get a new leader, that was almost 38 years ago, how time flies when you are enjoying yourself!
I am still part of the same unit as when I started, over the years I have been a District Commissioner, Division Commissioner, County and Division Mentor and at present Assistant County Commissioner. Twice I have been overwhelmed and honoured once when I was presented with the ‘County Silver Brooch’ July 2015 and second when asked to Join the County Team as Assistant County Commissioner.
I have met many people over the years and made many long-lasting friends as many say ‘Guiding is a family’ which I truly believe.
