Kim Messenger – Brentwood
Division Commissioner
I was a Brownie aged 7 and loved it, taking pride in my uniform and bringing home the six box each week. Sadly, I didn’t enjoy Guides so left. I became a Ranger at 14 and loved it, I also started to help at a Brownie Pack in Forest Gate. I met my husband, Mr Brown Owl, through Guiding at a joint Ranger & Venture scout event. My Guiding continued here becoming a Guider and then going on to opening a new pack. I stayed here until I moved to Brentwood in 1987.
I am a Brownie Guider and have been for nearly 45 years, something I absolutely love. Having had many additional roles over the years, Dist. Comm a couple of times, Public Relations, Ranger Guider and have now been Division Commissioner for 2 years.
I believe that I belong to a great organisation that gives girls and adults so much and so many opportunities.
